NMR is experienced in sustainable design, with ten LEED Accredited Professionals currently working on several LEED projects for governmental, healthcare, institutional and commercial projects. As members of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS), our design team is committed to creating buildings that are energy efficient and provide a healthy, productive environment.
NMR is committed to sustainable design principles. Even if it is decided not to seek LEED Certification we will identify opportunities for the Owner to consider that integrates sustainable design concepts and materials where the budget allows promoting energy efficiency and a light impact on the environment.
NMR, which was one of the first firms in the North State to join the USGBC, has provided architectural services for the following LEED projects:
Temecula Civic Center (LEED Gold)
City of Shasta Lake Law Enforcement and Council Chambers Building (LEED Gold)
WestVenture Caltrans Tenant Improvement (LEED Silver)

NMR has in-house Sustainable Design Specialists who are actively involved with our projects from start to finish, contributing their environmental design knowledge to maximize sustainable design possibilities within our projects. These individuals lead the LEED registration and certification documents throughout the project to ensure that our projects continue to meet the established sustainable goals.
Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS)
In addition to our successful history working with LEED for schools, NMR is also experienced with the Collaborative for High Performance Schools movement. We acknowledge the similarities, differences, and advantages over the LEED system, and embrace the opportunity to work towards a better educational environment through either system. We are members of CHPS and have on-going experience working through CHPS verified projects.
