NMR Designs Chico Municipal Airport Expansion

On Tuesday, July 26th JetChico presented NMR’s conceptual terminal expansion design for the Chico Municipal Airport Terminal to the Airport Commission for consideration. Marina, California – Residents and stakeholders can watch the construction progress of the new VA/DA Health Care Center via an onsite webcam. Shasta County Probation Department Ribbon Cutting

DSA is now offering school construction plan electronic back checks to enhance efficiency, speed-up the review process and achieve sustainability goals. On Friday, September 2nd, Lammersville Unified School District celebrated the ground breaking of phase four of construction at Mountain House High School. 2016 California Building Code Changes For Healthcare Facilities

Every 18 months, the California Building Standards Commission (CBSC) receives code change proposals from multiple state agencies responsible for recommending changes to the International Building Code (IBC) model code. The amendments to the 2015 IBC model code made by the CBSC are adopted as the 2016 California Building Code (CBC), and take effect January 1st, 2017. Halloween at NMR

This Halloween, NMR continued the firm’s tradition of fun with a celebratory potluck lunch and costume contest. On Saturday, December 10th four Shasta High School VEX Robotics teams competed against 38 other Bay Area teams at the VEX robotics competition at Vanden High School in Fairfield, CA. Chico ER Features NMR’s Anniversary

On Saturday, January 28th Chico ER featured NMR’s 50th anniversary and the Chico office’s 30th anniversary. “Longtime Chico firm Nichols Melburg and Rosetto is proving its longevity. Drone Imagery and Architecture

NMR’s newest and perhaps most exciting addition to the firm’s visualization studio is drone imagery. Drones have commonly been used in a variety of industries to obtain aerial images. NMR’s drone imagery not only allows the firm to obtain sweeping aerial images, but also allows the firm to gather site data, optimize building design around views from specific heights and unique perspectives.

2017 North State Cancer League Gala

On Saturday, February 4th NMR Principals Kyle Matti and Joe Warner (pictured with wife Julie Warner) attended the North State Cancer League Gala (NSCL.) The 31 year old organization is dedicated to helping children, adults and families who have cancer. NMR Design Featured on ABC’s Modern Family

On March 15th, ABC aired Season 8, episode 17 of Modern Family, titled “Pig Moon Rising.” The episode featured NMR’s design of the Shasta County Administration Building in downtown Redding, CA. Completed in 2005, the Shasta County Administration project was completed under budget, and has received several design awards, including “Best Civic Project” in 2005 by California Construction Magazine, and the 2005 Woodwork Institute Award for design excellence. Business Went to the Dogs

Each Friday in March, business went to the dogs as NMR Architects celebrated the firm’s 50th anniversary with Bring Your Pet to Work Days. The temporary office canines didn’t bark out orders to employees or wag approval after a presentation, although some helped the receptionist greet visitors. However, our furry friends did help NMR celebrate pets’ special abilities to reduce stress in the workplace and increase job satisfaction. Here are some of NMR’s furry friends hard at work!

NMR Architects Selected to Design VA Chico Outpatient Clinic

In early 2017, NMR Architects was selected to design a 53,000 square foot Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Outpatient Clinic in Chico, CA. The new clinic will double the size of the existing clinic on Cohasset Road which it will replace. The Chico VA Clinic project was awarded to a development team consisting of NMR and the Hamstra Group of Wheatfield Indiana after a national design competition. Shasta VEX Robotics Attends CA State Championship

Two of Redding’s own Shasta High School Robotics VEX teams competed against top robotics teams in the state, last weekend at the VEX State Championships in San Jose. The Shasta High teams learned a lot about robotics, and are excited to implement new ideas and improvements next year. On November 10th 2013, Food Network aired Season 1, episode 2 of Restaurant Express, titled “Tantrum in Temecula.” The episode featured NMR’s design of the Temecula Civic Center in Temecula, CA. Humboldt County Juvenile Hall Groundbreaking

On Monday, April 3rd NMR Principals Les Melburg and Kyle Matti and Project Architect Deven Carter attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Humboldt County Juvenile Hall facility in Eureka, CA. Construction for the new 19,000 sq. ft. facility began April 3rd and is scheduled for completion in August of 2018.
