On Friday, October 23rd North State S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) hosted it’s 2nd annual S.T.E.M. Career Fair. On May 8, 2015, Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto Architect Melissa Freilich taught Redding kindergarteners at KinderCollege Day about career options in the field of architecture.  Melissa shared the importance of building orientation and location, and taught about the functionality of building components like walls, windows, shade devices and solar panels. Congratulations to Manzanita Elementary Odyssey of the Mind competitors on winning 1st place in the North State Region. The Odyssey of the Mind team competed at the state tournament at UC Riverside on Saturday, April 2nd. The competition included over 200 teams divided into three age specific divisions. North Valley Housing Trust Masquerade

On Friday May 6th, NMR Marketing Coordinator Krista Buckel attended the North Valley Housing Trust’s  (NVHT) inaugural Spring Masquerade, Unmasking  Solutions to Homelessness. Fundraiser attendees heard formerly homeless residents of Chico share about NVHT’s involvement in their transformation from jobless, homeless addicts to business owners with homes. Peanuts, Popcorn and Candy Apples

                    In 1997, construction of NMR’s design of Chico State Nettleton Stadium was completed. This summer, calls for peanuts, popcorn and candy apples will return to the NMR designed stadium along with the professional, independent baseball team, Chico Heat. Northern C’s Dinner

On Friday, May 13th NMR Founding Principal Gene Nichols and Architect Jennifer Lees attended Cal Alumni Association chapter “Northern C’s” dinner at the McConnell Foundation. Congratulations to the Shasta High School Robotics Club on a successful Battle of the North VEX competition this weekend! 2017 North State Cancer League Gala

On Saturday, February 4th NMR Principals Kyle Matti and Joe Warner (pictured with wife Julie Warner) attended the North State Cancer League Gala (NSCL.) NMR Design Featured on ABC’s Modern Family

On March 15th, ABC aired Season 8, episode 17 of Modern Family, titled “Pig Moon Rising.” The episode featured NMR’s design of the Shasta County Administration Building in downtown Redding, CA. Completed in 2005, the Shasta County Administration project was completed under budget, and has received several design awards, including “Best Civic Project” in 2005 by California Construction Magazine, and the 2005 Woodwork Institute Award for design excellence.
