Project Description

NMR was competitively selected to supplant HOK as the Project Architect midway through the fourth increment of the facility’s design. We were selected based on our broad healthcare experience, previous work with the general contractor – Otto Construction, extensive background and expertise with OSHPD. Increment four consisted of redesigning and organizing the backfill of several departments within the existing hospital after increments one through three shifted many of these departments to new facilities. NMR was responsible for the Construction Administration of phases I-II of Increment four (which included a new MRI and CT Suite, Café and Gift Shop along with numerous smaller infill projects) as well as complete design services for phases III-V which required the complete redesign of the Inpatient Pharmacy, Medical Staff Offices, Engineering Shop, Executive Health Program & Health Information Management departments. This project demonstrates our ability to successfully transition into a project after inception and execute an extensive renovation with minimal disruption to ongoing hospital operations and careful consideration of interim life safety and infection control measures.
