Project Description

Feather River Hospital, a member of Adventist Health, commissioned NMR to design a new Rural Health Clinic in the small Northern California Town of Paradise. The facility is designed to provide patients from the local community and outlying areas access to primary health care, dental care as well as specialty care. The facility brings outstanding patient care in an advanced healing environment to a clientele that historically have not had access to these services.

Feather River Hospital wanted a facility that would project a sense of prominence in their community and draw market share from the surrounding region. The structure reflects the local “Mountain” architectural vernacular and provides a sense of relaxed hominess for their patients. The building has also become a landmark entry to the Town of Paradise.

The porte cochere delivers you into a grand two-story lobby wrapped with wood paneling and large exposed trusses with a rich and warm interior color palette to provide a relaxed lodge feeling. The main lobby serves two wings housing individual clinic suites at each level. Clinical services include Primary Care, Dental, Pediatrics, Mental Health, OB, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Radiology and Laboratory services and a Pharmacy with drive-thru service.
