Project Description

Yreka Union High School District has a new tournament worthy gymnasium at Yreka High School. The gymnasium was designed by NMR Architects + Engineers, built by McCuen Construction and funded by a local bond Measure H.

The new gymnasium was designed to accommodate basketball and volleyball tournaments in the northern region, and includes three NFHS regulation basketball and volleyball courts. The retractable bleachers provide versatility for a variety of school events and activities and seat nearly 1,200. The gym also includes a snack bar, lobby, restrooms, girl’s and boy’s full-dress team lockers, showers and a spacious cardio and weight room that allows for indoor training during inclement weather. The new gymnasium replaces the existing one-court gym which has been remodeled into an auditorium.
