NMR Invests in Future Redding Leaders at KinderCollege

On May 8, 2015, Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto Architect Melissa Freilich taught Redding kindergarteners at KinderCollege Day about career options in the field of architecture.  Melissa shared the importance of building orientation and location, and taught about the functionality of building components like walls, windows, shade devices and solar panels. KinderCollege Day in Redding, CA aims to introduce young students and their parents to a college environment, career options and the concept of higher education.

NMR Supports Odyssey of the Mind Students

Congratulations to Manzanita Elementary Odyssey of the Mind competitors on winning 1st place in the North State Region. The Odyssey of the Mind team competed at the state tournament at UC Riverside on Saturday, April 2nd. The competition included over 200 teams divided into three age specific divisions. North Valley Housing Trust Masquerade

On Friday May 6th, NMR Marketing Coordinator Krista Buckel attended the North Valley Housing Trust’s  (NVHT) inaugural Spring Masquerade, Unmasking  Solutions to Homelessness. Fundraiser attendees heard formerly homeless residents of Chico share about NVHT’s involvement in their transformation from jobless, homeless addicts to business owners with homes. While the first event of  it’s kind for NVHT, the non-profit plans to host the  event annually to raise funds for building homes and  supportive networks to end homelessness in the Chico community….

On May 15th, NMR Administrative Analyst Anya Polen and Architect Jennifer Lees celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Northern Sacramento Valley chapter of Girls Inc. Nationally, the organization has been inspiring girls to be strong, smart and bold for 100 years. Peanuts, Popcorn and Candy Apples

                    In 1997, construction of NMR’s design of Chico State Nettleton Stadium was completed. This summer, calls for peanuts, popcorn and candy apples will return to the NMR designed stadium along with the professional, independent baseball team, Chico Heat. On Saturday, January 28th Chico ER featured NMR’s 50th anniversary and the Chico office’s 30th anniversary. “Longtime Chico firm Nichols Melburg and Rosetto is proving its longevity. That “long time” covers 30 years, and the main office is celebrating 50 years this year. Based in Redding, the company grew from a two-person office to one of the largest firms ranked in Engineering New Record magazine, the company told me. Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Ribbon Cutting

On Saturday, February 4th NMR Principals Kyle Matti and Joe Warner (pictured with wife Julie Warner) attended the North State Cancer League Gala (NSCL.) The 31 year old organization is dedicated to helping children, adults and families who have cancer.
