The community of Mountain House held the grand opening for their new high school on June 28, 2014. The grand Civic Italianate design of the high school is apparent throughout the campus consistent with the community’s intent to have the high school be the center of the community’s activities as was envisioned in the community’s master plan. The high school’s construction has been phased with the main academic buildings opening to students this August including the administration and classroom building, the multi-use building, and the gymnasiums. On the nearly finished site the students will find baseball, softball, and soccer fields completed and the football/soccer stadium complex set to be complete in August. Still to come are the library, theater, and vocational shops buildings. The staff arrived in late June to set up the campus and transition the district from a K-8 district to a unified district enjoying its own high school. The 5 year long process of creating a community center called the high school came to fruition as thousands of students, parents, faculty, community members, and state dignitaries roamed the campus during the grand opening. GO MUSTANGS!!
