On December 15th, NMR Principal Kyle Matti and Project Representative Kip Hall attended the Shasta County Probation Office ribbon cutting in celebration of the County’s relocation of the Probation Department offices.
Shasta County recently purchased two buildings on the block immediately south of the existing courthouse to accommodate the probation department and the public defender’s office. These departments work closely with the court system, and the new location allows their clients easy access to services. The probation department previously operated out of the public safety building which will soon be demolished to make room for the new Shasta County Courthouse.
NMR designed the probation office, interior remodel to have a simple and efficient flow for staff and a clean safe place to aid the County as they serve their clients. The project was fast-tracked to be completed within 5 months to allow the probation department to move into their new offices in accordance with the move out deadline given by the office of the courts. The probation department serves an average of 100 individuals per day, and provides supervision, investigation, drug testing and interviews.
NMR would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Jeff Mack of J. H. Mack Construction and Shasta County Project Manager Kevin Maple for your contributions that were instrumental in making the project a success.
