For decades, NMR staff have dedicated volunteer hours, sponsorship and support to the communities where we work and live. Some call it “paying it forward,” others call it “giving back.” At NMR, we volunteer because we are committed to investing in our communities.

Habitat for Humanity is one of the many organizations that NMR is proud to support. For years, Dan Rossetto, Principal Architect at NMR’s Redding office has volunteered his time and drafting skills with Habitat. In Redding, he drafted designs for a 2-bedroom, single family home in the Enterprise neighborhood with the Shasta Cascade Habitat for Humanity. Wil Tyra, Architect at NMR’s Redding, CA office has also volunteered to construct homes on North Blvd. and West Street in Shasta Lake City.

Sean Shearer, Project Representative at NMR’s Chico, CA office serves¬†as a member of the Butte County Habitat for Humanity Operation & Construction Committee, and volunteers his construction skills to help build Habitat homes. On Saturday, June 26, 2015 a team of volunteers including Shearer celebrated the beginning of construction for two new homes on East 11th Street in Chico with a wall raising ceremonyHFH logo. NMR is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity to fulfill their mission to “bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.”For more information see the recent article in Chico ER. Sean is currently assisting with the planning and design of six new Habitat for Humanity homes that will be constructed on East 20th St. in Chico, CA. Construction is expected to begin in June of this year.
