In 2014, NMR worked with Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District to develop a facilities master plan in anticipation of bond funding for campus upgrades. After the successful passage of Measure H in 2016, NMR created a Facilties Master Plan Amendment to prioritize goals and focus on additions and improvements to the District’s Redding campus.
The Facilities Master Plan Amendment was complete in early 2017, and has been under review by various District committees. The amendment outlines a suggested reorganization of the campus fabric, design guidelines and equipment and finish standards. The reorganization clusters buildings based on their function to create various campus neighborhoods. i.e. Academic, Athletic, Career Technical Education (CTE), Public Safety, Student Services and Visual and Performing Arts Neighborhoods.
If fully adopted, the amendment will generate numerous new construction projects as well as remodels of most of the existing buildings including but not limited to: new rural public safety training center classroom buildings, props and apparatus bay, a new athletic field house, CTE building, veterans student services center, remodel of the museum into campus security office and a new classroom building.
NMR looks forward to continuing to assist Shasta College as they continue to grow and serve northern California with outstanding educational opportunities.
