This project provided for the replacement of an existing Cal Fire facility covering approximately 16 acres of an 84-acre state-owned property. The existing facility is run by Cal Fire and also supports California Conservation Corps (CCC) programs. It is required to stay open while new construction is completed on the same site. New construction includes: a joint Administration building for Cal Fire and the CCC, a Captain’s Barracks, six Crew Dormitories, Electric building, three Apparatus Garages, Crew Laundry building, Multi-purpose building, Auto Shop, Training building, Vehicle Wash and a Warehouse. Site improvements include gas/diesel fuel system, propane fuel system, water storage tanks, hose wash racks, stormwater retention system and solar PV array on covered parking structures.
