The Sacramento Pediatric Gastroenterology project features the vision and passion of a physician to connect with her pediatric patients. A “marine underwater” theme was selected, and a large aquarium is featured in an alcove in the waiting room. Adult and pediatric furniture are blended with colorful mounted artwork from a talented young patient. The patient route from the waiting to exam rooms is a fun “journey” that passes by colorful sea creatures inlaid in the flooring, glass windows infused with “bubbles” with the aquarium in the background and a curvilinear pathway with bright, colorful artwork.
