SHASTA COUNTY ADMINISTRATION CENTER

This program-intensive facility consolidates numerous Shasta County operations into a single downtown location. The County’s overall goal was to create an attractive, sustainable, user-friendly facility, delivered on time and within budget. The project came in $3 million (12.5%) below the County’s $24 million construction budget, and was delivered two months ahead of schedule. It has received several design awards, including “Best Civic Project” in 2005 by California Construction Magazine, and the 2005 Woodwork Institute Award for design excellence. NMR was selected by Shasta County to serve as prime Architect and, in association with Dreyfuss & Blackford Architects, led the project team that provided comprehensive design services.
