Welcoming all Architectural and Structural Engineering Students for possible internship opportunities.
Qualifications:
Must be a current student working towards a degree in Architecture. Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp is desired but not required.
What to expect:
As a summer intern you will be under the direction of both a ‘senior mentor’ who is a licensed architect and a ‘junior mentor’ who is a peer. You will gain exposure to various architectural project types, learn about the 5-phases of architectural services and observe the inner workings of our office. You will support the project manager in research and development of products and materials as well as working in programs like Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or Lumion to produce project deliverables.
Various architectural intern tasks include but are not limited to;
Answer office phone calls
Assist with office errands
Assist in printing tasks and/or organize plan archives
Create simple 3D design concepts in SketchUp
Research products, equipment, and materials for use in design that fit within the client’s budget, meet the program and are best suited for the project scope.
Assist in drawing development. This may include plans, schedules and details.
Assist in answering contractor questions, attend construction meetings and observe construction progress.
