For more than 35 years, Shasta High School Choir has delighted the Redding community with ethereal sounds and a marvelously authentic Renaissance feast at Shasta High School’s Madrigal Dinner. The annual event will be held again this December at the architecturally historic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Pilgrim Congregational Church, and features vocal, drama and instrumental entertainment. Now in it’s third year, the Battle of the North vex robotics competition is the only California, vex robotics competition north of Sacramento. The “Battle” offers northern California high school students an competitive, fun and educational opportunity to test and sharpen their robotics skills.
