Shasta College Facilities Master Plan Amendment

In 2014, NMR worked with Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District to develop a facilities master plan in anticipation of bond funding for campus upgrades. After the successful passage of Measure H in 2016, NMR created a Facilties Master Plan Amendment to prioritize goals and focus on additions and improvements to the District’s Redding campus. On Wednesday, June 13th NMR Architect Mel Freilich and Project Technician Marissa Olsen spoke to Upward Bound Summer Program high school students about how their college education prepared them for a career in the field of architecture. Each year, Architectural Record publishes a “Top 300 Architectural Firms” list of the best architectural firms in the United States. Firms are ranked by revenue for architectural services performed in 2016.  In  Architectural Record’s 2017 rankings for “Top 300 Architectural Firms,” Nichols, Melburg and Rossetto jumped ahead 2 ranks to be listed as number 218.  See the full list of ranked firms here.

NMR Introduces Kindergarteners to Architecture

On Friday, May 11th Architects Mel Freilich and Page Ledbetter introduced kindergarten students to architecture at College Options’ annual Kinder-College event. Freilich and Ledbetter explained architecture by describing how to design a tree house. Students received a tree house coloring book page to take home and color (“design”) the interior of their tree house.

NMR Joins Shasta Bike Month

May is Bike Month in Shasta County! And NMR staff, family and friends joined the local fun by biking with Team NMR. Together the team came in 11th place, and logged over 3,900 miles in 31 days.
