Altamont Elementary School was constructed for the Lammersville Unified School District in the new planned community of Mountain House in San Joaquin County. The Mountain House neighborhood in which the new school was to be located was designated with a “Craftsman” style architectural theme. The school was designed to reflect this objective. The 16 acre school campus has a capacity for 850 students and classroom groupings include shared activity spaces accessible from each classroom. The campus also includes a computer lab, special education classrooms, a library, multi-use room, administration and fitness room. The Altamont Elementary site was fully outfitted including parking, access roads, paved courts, play structures, play fields and a running track for kindergarten through eighth grades.
