Project Description

Clad in slabs of  granite selected by NMR at a quarry site, the classically modern temple design is befitting a landmark building of religious significance.   Located on a hill above Lake Natoma, the structure’s gilded, angel-topped spire rises to a height of 131 feet and is visible throughout the surrounding area.  Interior finishes include Italian marble flooring, solid cherry paneling, doors and trim, carved art glass panels, custom cast bronze hardware, decorative plaster moldings with gold leaf accents, hand painted murals and crystal chandeliers and sconces.  One of 123 operating temples in the world, and one of seven in California, the Sacramento California Temple serves 80,000 plus members of the Church in Northern California. Working with the client’s pre-selected contractor, NMR was able to meet the client’s demands for exceptional quality and craftsmanship, within the budget at a time of escalating construction material costs.
